Ms. Terry's Fox Class
Hello! My name is Amanda Terry. I am the Fox Classroom Teacher! I always knew from when I was little that I wanted to be a teacher. One of my sister's and I use to play school in my parent's basement when we were younger and I always wanted to be the teacher. My kindergarten teacher made a huge impact on my life and I knew that's what I wanted to become when I grew up. I have always had a passion for working with young chilren and I enjoy watching them learn and grow every day!
I grew up in Carol Stream, IL, but currently reside in West Chicago, IL with my Fiance Cody and our dog, Cuda. We are getting married in July 2017! My other passion in life is dance. From the age of 2 years old until my senior year in high school I took dance classes and was a part of various dance teams. I am trained in my different styles of dance as well as classical trained in ballet. My other hobbies are reading, taking pictures, and going on long bike rides.
I attended Western Illinois University for my Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Early Childhood Education. I am currently in the process of obtaining my Master's Degree in Literacy Education with a focus on English Language Learners from Northern Illinois University. I am so excited to further my education!
