I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break! This week as a class we had a visit from the Smokehouse on Wednesday, where we learned about fire safe at home and knowing what to do when there is a fire, such as getting out of the house safely and having a meeting place.

Literacy

We were continuing Unit 5 of Literacy this week! We are continuing to work on the unit 5 sight words and short vowel sounds. During whole group and small group reading we are working with informational text. We are also working on informational writing during our whole group writing time and are continuing to discuss how to fill out a T-chart.

Math

We are still working in our Unit 6 of Math! We are continuing to count our straws everyday. We are continuing to work on addition and subtraction by telling, representing, and solving number stories. We are also working on multistep number stories and finding the missing addend.

​Science

We started our discussion of what people need. We are taking a virtual tour of different farms and talking about what food people get from each type of farm.
